Why this work matters

A family experience became a clearer choice for others.

Our parents did not have long-term care insurance. My three brothers and I became the funding source for our Mom’s care, each shouldering our share of the cost for home health aides.

I paid the aides weekly, and once a month my brothers reimbursed me. This continued for years, eventually growing into around-the-clock care.

My wife and I also managed much of the day-to-day coordination: doctor visits, shopping, blood tests, and more. It was a very difficult season, and it took a toll on our family.

That experience was the genesis of Retirement-Choice: a choice that can make your family’s burden easier when long-term care is needed.
